Hi guys. Here I am once again in the Bay Area. It feels so great to be back!
August 31st - the tour finally kicked off. We hit things off in Sacred Grounds in San Francisco. But first, let me take you back a few hours. Myself and Ricky, (my USA contact) had a morning filled with meetings. We were up and at em at 8:00am, through to 3pm. The meetings went great and I can’t wait to share some of the good news.
After that, we chucked my guitar in the van, on headed on down to Sacred Grounds. We arrived at 7:20pm and there was a phenomenal band performing at the time, “Shrink the Giant”. I thoroughly enjoyed them. Anyway, they got off stage and on I went. I started the set with my current favourite opener “Sun Don’t Shine” and blasted through it. I then went into a Dylan cover “It Ain’t me Babe”. I played for about 40 minutes and the crowd did not move for the whole thing, I mean it! You couldn’t hear a pin drop. Great crowd. When I said sing, they sung, when I said be quiet, they were. So respectful. So thank you Sacred Grounds for getting the tour off to a great start!
