I may be wrong, but I do believe Usher really stuck his foot in his mouth -several times, in fact- when commenting on Morgan's performance. For starters, whether or not he knew at the time what the technique is called, Morgan first tapped his falsetto voice during his blind audition performance of "Collide." Usher should have known that. To make it worse, Usher said he didn't know Morgan even had a falsetto voice. He's gotta be kidding, right? Not only does EVERY male have the ability to sing (and speak) in falsetto voice (and a third "head" voice), Usher was (of all things) his coach. Morgan performed the song in all three voices (natural, head and falsetto). It definitely begs the question, "What, exactly, did Usher, as his coach, do for Morgan during the rehearsals?" Of ALL people, Usher is the one person who should have known, and the one person who should not have admitted anything to the contrary. Shame on you, Usher.
(We're excited that Morgan will be performing in our hometown this summer, on June 12th and July 25th.)
